The Enterprise Risk Management Unit (ERMU) of the Agency facilitated a 4-day virtual training programme for staff of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) from 23rd – 26th March 2021.
The purpose of the programme was to assist the Centre establish an effective risk management framework in accordance with the Public Financial Management (PFM) Act 2016 (Act 921) requirements.
The training was jointly opened by the Director-General of the Agency, Dr. Eric Oduro Osae and the Mr. Yoofi Grant, CEO of GIPC. In his opening address, Mr. Yoofi Grant stressed the critical role risk management plays in the effectiveness and sustainability of an organisation. He expressed his gratitude to the Agency and entreated participants to take advantage of the programme.
The Director-General hinted that the Agency would be publishing names of Covered Entities that default in the establisment of risk management frameworks and systems in accordance with the requirements of the PFM Act 2016 (Act 921).
Facilitators of the training were Messers. Senanu Mensah, Head of the ERMU and Quatada Nashiru, a Manager with the Unit. Mr. Bismark Osebre, a National Service Person assigned to the Unit supported them.
