Management of the Agency met with executives of the National Internal Auditors Association on 10th August, 2022 to brief them on preparations for the Conference and related matters.
The discussions centered around:
- The 2022 Annual Conference
- Up – date on the Restructuring and Proposed Scheme of Service for the IAS
- Annual Audit Committee Report to Parliament
- Training Needs of Internal Auditors in 2023
- Other matters related to the Profession
The Director-General gave an update on the current status of the restructuring and proposed Scheme of Service. He informed the executives of the EU’s support towards their implementation. He also spoke on the training needs of Internal Auditors and assured the executives of the Agency’s capacity to train and advised members to avail themselves for training.
Dr. Osae concluded by tasking the executives to ensure that, their members participate fully in the upcoming Conference to learn from seasoned facilitators and to bring issues to the fore for the attention of major decision makers.
The executive members of the Association thanked Management for the feedback and requested the urgent need to be trained on the GIFMIS and in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). They also requested to be part of a future Conference Planning Committee to enable them make inputs to the preparatory process.
