IAA MEETS WITH THE MoF ON THE ESPV ASSIGNMENT

On 11th August, 2022, at the invitation of the Ministry of Finance, the Agency presented preliminary findings in the Report on the payroll exercise (ESPV) conducted in 19 Entities to the Ministry of Finance.

The Director-General who led the Agency’s delegation to meet top Management at the Ministry of Finance highlighted some of the key findings in the report which included the issue of persons without appointment letters, inconsistencies between nominal rolls of ESPV reports, missing names, amongst others. The Ministry of Finance tasked the Agency to work with the CAGD to immediately eliminate all such illegitimate names from the payroll.

The Director-General also highlighted the Agency’s plan for the exercise going forward and strategies the Agency has put in place to conduct the exercise nationwide.

The Minister of State at the Ministry of Finance, Hon. Charles Adu Boahen, Deputy Minister of Finance, Dr. John Kuma, the Chief Director, Mr. Patrick Nomo and other Directors of the Ministry of Finance. Also present was a Deputy Controller and Accountant-General and other Officials from the CAGD and the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The Agency was represented by the Dr. Eric Oduro Osae (Director-General), Mr. Samuel Gyekye-Mensah, Mr. Vug Nanke and Mr. Frank Amedume.
