A team of two from the Canadian High Commission visited the Agency to familiarize themselves with the activities of the Agency on 16th February, 2023. The purpose of the visit was part of the Commission’s mission to pay courtesy calls on key public sector institutions working in the area of internal controls, internal audit and financial management.
 Dr. Osae spoke on the mandate of the Agency and briefed them on the activities of the Agency. He shared on the mission, vision and strategic direction of the Agency. He also shared on current happenings in the space of Public Sector Internal Auditing in Ghana as follows:4
1. Movement from conventional auditing to Risk-Based Auditing
2. Mainstreaming Enterprise Risk Management in the operations of the Public Sector Auditing
3. Adoption of the Integrated Professional Practice Framework (IPPF) in Ghana as a framework to guide performance.
4. Review of the Internal Audit Agency Act to restructure and reposition Public Sector Internal Auditing.
Other Management staff of the Agency shared on the activities and projects that are ongoing at the Agency.
