The training programme for Audit Committee members being organized by the Internal Audit Agency in partnership with GIZ has come to a completion. The training programme was held in the Western and Oti Regions from 3rd-4th April 2023 and Central and Volta Regions from 5th-6th April, 2023.
The training was aimed at equipping Audit Committee Members with the requisite knowledge in Audit Committee. The programme covered a wide range of topics which include the importance of the Local Governance System, the Audit Committees System under the Public Financial Management (PFM), the Conduct of Audit Committee meetings, Internal Controls, and Contemporary issues in the Public Sector Internal Auditing. The training also provided an opportunity for Audit Committee members to share their experiences and best practices.
