The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council with support from GIZ Ghana organized the Regional Audit Exchange program which offered the platform to engage key officials from Greater Accra Regional partner districts on audit issues and how to improve on them within the region. The Forum was targeted at Municipal Chief Executives, District Chief Executives, Coordinating Directors, Internal Auditors, Finance Officers, Presiding members and Audit Committee Chairpersons and their Secretaries.
This year’s forum being the 5th in the series, sought to create the platform for key officials to engage and interact on how to improve audit processes and its related failures to champion transparency and accountability and promote practices to address gaps.
The Agency was invited to present on two (2) topical areas.
- PFM reforms underway (i.e. with a focus on the existing PFM strategy and other demands of the IMF program and what is in same of IAs and other collaborating agencies going forward).
- Guidelines to Auditee for handling an audit and share analysis on regional outlook from 2019-2022 and discussions on addressing repetitive infarctions.
The Forum took place at the City Escape Hotel, Prampram   from 5th – 8th September 2023. Mr. Samuel Gyekye-Mensah, a Deputy Director and Ms. Sedina Klutse, a Senior Manager at the Agency facilitated the presentations.
