A delegation of Ethiopians on a study visit to Ghana on Tuesday, 25th June, 2024 visited the Agency. The visit was to facilitate knowledge exchange and build capacities on social accountability practices and implementation strategies.
The delegation was well received by the Director-General and Management of the Agency. Dr. Osae shared on the Agency’s mandate and its assurance and advisory services. In a detailed lecture he explained the local governance system of the country. He shared on the decentralized system and its benefits to social accountability where all are involved and participate in planning and execution.
Dr. Osae also shared briefly on physical decentralization functions, budgeting and a wide range of issues relating to decentralization and local governance emphasizing on the social accountability framework.
Other members of the Management team shared with the delegates on other issues related to the Agency’s work.
Several questions were put out by the delegation to which further clarification was given. The delegation was appreciative of knowledge gained and expressed their gratitude.
