A team from IAA on 19th July, 2022 met with NDPC, one of the stakeholder institutions on the PFM League Table to make a presentation and discuss the role the of NDPC as a stakeholder in the implementation of the PFMLT project.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Jonathan K. Azasoo, a Deputy Director of NDPC on behalf of the Director-General.
Mr. Alhassan Fuseini, Head of Project Coordination and Monitoring Unit (PCMU) of the IAA in his opening remarks said, the objectives the PFM League Table is to improve transparency and accountability and inject efficiency in the use of public funds, reduce corruption and improve MMDAs, MDAs and SOEs compliance under the Public Financial Management. He continued that, the NDPC plays a critical role with regards to the League Table and they will be responsible for Strategic Development and Planning on the PFM League Table cycle. Mr. Alhassan added that NDPC will also be required to develop their assessment indicators which will be factored into the final assessment tool. He stated that, the NDPC will be working together with stakeholders such as IAA, MoF, PPA, CAGD etc. on the PFM League Table Development Project.
Mr. Jonathan Azasoo in his closing remarks thanked the IAA team for the presentation and said the NDPC is ready to collaborate with IAA and other Stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the League Table.
The IAA was represented by Mr. Alhassan Fuseini, (Head of the team), Mrs. Josephine Opoku-Agyemang and Mr. Abraham Arkoh.
