The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Directorate facilitated a training programme in Enterprise Risk Management for the Risk Management Committee (RMC) of the Petroleum Commission from 6th-9th December, 2022.
The Deputy Director-General in charge of Technical and Field Operations, Mr. William Kofi Offei-Mensah opened the training programme on behalf of the Director-General of the Agency.
The purpose of the training was to provide members of the RMC with the requisite skills and competencies to assist the CEO of the Commission in discharging his responsibility in risk management as required by the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921). It was also meant to support the Committee in ensuring that relevant policies, internal controls and procedures are in place to create an appropriate culture and systems including processes for risk management planning, risk identification, analysis, monitoring and control in a consistent manner.
Mr. Senanu Mensah, a Deputy-Director and Mr. Quatada Nashiru Mohammed, a Senior Audit Manager of the Agency facilitated the training. They were supported by Mr. Robert Logosu, an Assistant Audit Manager.
