Regulation 4(2c) of the Internal Audit Regulations 2011, L.I. 1994 mandates the Agency in the review of reports from public institutions, to set up an investigation or a Review Panel with the power to subpoena witnesses before it.
In line with this, the IAA held Zonal Review Panel sittings on the internal audit reports of public institutions to facilitate implementation of audit recommendations and reduce misuse of public funds. On the 25th and 26th of September, 2024, two Panels sat concurrently in Tamale and Kumasi to consider Issues raised in Internal Audit Reports of a number of Institutions in these zones.
The zonal sittings were sponsored by the Public Financial Management for Service Delivery (PFM4SD).
