On 26 February 2026, the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) inaugurated the newly constituted Audit Committee of Mount Mary College of Education at a brief ceremony held on institution’s campus.
The programme commenced with opening remarks by the Principal, Mr. Kennedy Atinga, who expressed appreciation to dignitaries and stakeholders for their presence. He urged the new Committee members to work collaboratively with management to strengthen internal controls, auditing, and quality assurance systems within the College.
The swearing-in ceremony was conducted by Mr. Hayford Hammond, representing the Ag. Director-General of the IAA, who inducted members into office. In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman, Mr. Amstrong Agualey Amanor, thanked management and the IAA for the confidence reposed in the Committee and assured stakeholders of their commitment to promoting accountability, ensuring timely submission of audit reports, and supporting effective governance practices.
The ceremony also featured a formal handing-over from the outgoing Committee, whose members were recognized for their dedicated service. The event concluded with renewed assurances of management’s support to the Audit Committee and the Internal Auditor, marking a strengthened commitment to transparency and institutional development.
