The Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, Dr. Eric Oduro Osae and a team from the Agency met with the Swiss Ambassador to Ghana, Philipp Stalder to introduce the new leadership of the Agency.
At the meeting, the Agency’s mandate, vision and challenges in the effective implementation of the Public Financial Management Act 2016 (Act 921) were discussed.
The meeting agreed on some actions which include:
Strengthening Internal Audit Units and internal control in Covered Entities.
Support for Internal Audit Agency’s Activities.
Advocacy for Internal Audit Agency to be part of the Economic Management Team to advise the Central Government on spending.
To reduce infraction in the Internal Audit and External Audit Reports.
