2021 ANNUAL INTERNAL AUDIT CONFERENCE

1. The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) was established under the Internal Audit Agency Act, 2003 (Act 658) to co-ordinate, facilitate and promote quality assurance for internal audit activities within Covered Entities.
2. The Internal Audit Agency announces to the general public, especially Internal Auditors and other Stakeholders that the 2021 Annual Conference of Internal Auditors comes off from the 10^th – 12^th August, 2021 at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).
3. The Theme for the Conference is “Sustaining Internal Controls, Risk Management and Business Continuity in the Public Sector: The Role of Stakeholders”
4. His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana is the Special Guest of Honor.
5. The Conference will bring together key stakeholders including Public Sector Heads, Managers and Policy Makers to discuss effective ways of sustaining internal controls and risk management practices in Public Sector Institutions for improved Financial Management.
6. The Agency estimates about One Thousand Five Hundred (1,500) participants to participate physically and virtually in the meeting.
7. All Covid-19 protocols shall be duly and strictly observed.
8. Fourteen (14) Facilitators will make presentations on various topics during the 3-day Conference, including;

1. • The role of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the fight against corruption.
   • Implementing Post-Covid Business Continuity Plans: Strategic Role of the Internal Auditor.
   • Rationalizing the Salaries, Emoluments and Conditions of Service for Internal Auditors: Options in Ghana
   • Detecting and Preventing Fraud in the Management of Public Funds: Role of the Internal Auditor.
   • Applying Technology and Managing Talents within the Internal Audit Function
   • Enterprise Risk Management in the Public Sector: Strategic tool for sustaining Internal Controls and Governance

9. Public Sector Internal Auditors, anti-corruption institutions and all Stakeholders are invited to participate in the 2021 Annual Internal Audit Conference to help shape the future of Internal Auditing in Ghana together.
