Board Member- Ms. Edith Pinamang
Ms. Edith Pinamang is currently the HR/ADMIN & TRAINING COORDINATOR of the Ellaven Consult Ltd, East Legon, Accra – Ghana, and the Managing Director of Bethel Chemist Ltd.
Edith is a very experienced and well-rounded business leader with strong commercial acumen and has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources and Administration having spent about 5 years in other corporate institutions before joining the Tourism/Hospitality Industry in March 2003. She previously served as the Human Resources and Administrative Manager of Tomreik Hotel Limited, Ghana for 3 years where she built a high performing and more diverse leadership team. Prior to that, she was the Head of HR/Admin of Mensvic Hotel Ltd for more than 10 years.
Under her strong leadership, the performance of the hotel consistently exceeded expectations, culminating in its position as one of the finest hotels if not the best with “premium hospitality” in Ghana. Over the years, she has gained experience with various training methods, including on-the-job coaching, mentorship programs and e-learning. She is quite experienced with different projects, like management training and soft-skills development, etc. Her years in the tourism/hospitality industry have seen her demonstrating strong leadership and fostering staff development and retention.
She holds an Executive MBA (Entrepreneurship) and a BSc in Business Administration (Human Resources Option), from the University of Ghana Business School and GIMPA respectively. She is a certified HR professional and a member of the Human Resources Managers Association, Ghana. She is a founding member of the Hospitality Women Network, Ghana; member of World Tourism Network, USA; affiliate member of Ghana Tourism Federation (GHATOF) and the Director for Job Creation & Career Development for African Association of Women in Tourism and Hospitality (AAWTH).
Being a very philanthropic person, she does many charitable activities as her act of giving back to society. In view of this, she is the Country Director for the Pumpkins Foundation and the Patron of Nyamedua Children Home, Accra, Ghana.
In brief, Ms. Pinamang is an HR/Admin Practitioner (with main focus in the Tourism/Hospitality Sector), an Entrepreneur, a Philanthropist and most importantly, a mother and wife.
