Vug Patrick Nanke – Head of Internal Audit and Investigations
Vug Patrick Nankeis the Head of the Internal Audit and Investigations Division of the Agency. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Vug was the Head of Special Investigations of the Internal Audit Agency and led several special audits including an audit of Twifo Oil Palm Plantation (TOPP), COVID-19 expenditure audit of several Ministries and Agencies, the Ghana School Feeding Programme, Ministry of Transport etc. He led the Agency’s activities on payroll investigations in the Public Service, an activity which led to the saving of several million cedis for the State.
Vug was with the Field Operations Division of the Agency where he was responsible for the analysis of systemic audit infractions in audit issues. He led Teams to conduct several quality assurance reviews of internal audit practice in Covered Entities
He is Russian Trained and worked with other audit firms in Russia such as GnG Audit and Consulting. He holds a post-chartered Diploma in Forensic Audit and Certificate in IPSAS. He has expertise in financial audit, forensic audit, internal control assessment, corporate governance and risks management.
Vug has served on a few Audit Committees and currently chairs the Audit Committees of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation and the Nursing and Midwifery Training College in Odumase-Krobo. He is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Ghana Water Company.
