The Agency in partnership with the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) is initiating a project named District Accountability Index (DAI), a public financial accountability performance index. The DAI is aimed at strengthening social accountability in public financial management practices and systems as well as fostering citizen demand for accountability for better development outcomes at the subnational levels.
To increase knowledge and understanding of the DAI concept, zonal meetings were held as follows:
i) The Northern Zonal meeting was held in Tamale at the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly Conference Room on 13th December, 2022.
ii) The Middle Belt Zonal meeting was held on 16th December, 2022 at the Prempeh Assembly Hall.
The meetings discussed the methodology and framework for creating the index. Participants also made suggestions on its improvement. Mr. Benjamin Adjetey, Director, Technical, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (TRME) represented the Agency at the meetings.
