INTERNAL AUDIT STAFF OF THE PUBLIC UTILITIES REGULATORY COMMISSION (PURC) TRAINED IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS AUDIT

The Information Systems (I.S) Training Unit of the Internal Audit Agency conducted a training program on I.S Audit for the Internal Audit Unit staff of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC).

The purpose of the training was to strengthen institutional awareness, build the capacity of the Covered Entity’s support for Information Systems Audit and equip participants with the concepts and expertise to enable them perform I. S Audit.

The training was held in the conference room of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission.

It consisted of a series of interactive sessions. The sessions were designed to be practical and focused on developing the participants’ Knowledge in I.S Auditing. The training program covered the following topics:

  • Relevant I.S Auditing concepts
  • Overview of the I.S Auditing process
  • The approach for auditing I.S controls.
  • Developing and Review of I.S Auditing Work Programs

The training program was well received by the participants, who reported that it had enhanced their understanding of the principles of I.S Auditing.
