The CovID programme was implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft for Internationale Zusammenarbert (GIZ) over the course of four years. The programme played a pivotal role in supporting political partners including the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development. It raised revenue and financed inclusive development in the country.
The programme concluded at the end of September. 2023 and a closeout event was held at the Kempinski Hotel on the 27th September, 2023 to showcase the remarkable achievements of the CovID programme, the importance of sustaining best practices and lessons learnt through collaborations with partners.
The closeout event also celebrated the commitment of partners to the successful implementation of the programme. The Director-General, Dr. E.O. Osae received an award on behalf of the Internal Audit Agency, a partner to the programme.
