On 30th December, 2025, the Audit Committee of the Ghana Post Company Limited was inaugurated by Mr. Thomas Thompson-Aryee, Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA).
The event was attended by the Chairperson of the Ghana Post Board, Ms. Petra Aba Asamoah, and the Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the Company, Mrs. Rita Sraha. In her opening remarks, Ms. Asamoah mentioned that the inauguration was a recognition of the importance of the Audit Committee to the success of any organization. She assured the meeting of the Board and Management’s commitment to the effective functioning of the Committee.
Delivering his address, the Ag. Director-General of IAA outlined the mandatory and advisory functions of the Audit Committee. He alluded to reforms in the PPA Act that require Heads of Covered Entities to obtain Commitment Authorization for procurement transactions beyond the Entity Tender Committee’s approval threshold. He pledged the support of the Agency to the work of the Committee.
