The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) held its second technical session for the year on 17th June 2026 to introduce staff to the new IAA Audit Report Management System (IAA-AuditMS), a digital platform designed to restructure the submission, review and management of audit reports.
In his opening address, the Director of the Technical, Research, Monitoring and Evaluation (TRME) Directorate, Mr. Senanu Mensah, noted the system was developed to address gaps in the Agency’s report management process and improve efficiency across the entire reporting lifecycle. He commended the Management Information Systems (MIS) team for developing the platform and encouraged staff to actively test the system and provide feedback before its official rollout.
The Head of Information Technology (IT), Mr. Osei Tutu Agyemang, took participants through a live demonstration of the web-based platform, explaining that it centralises the submission and review of reports from Internal Audit Units and Audit Committees while reducing reliance on hard-copy submissions. He noted that the system also enables real-time tracking of reports, assigns user roles and provides greater visibility into the review process to enhance accountability and timely processing.
The technical session forms part of the Agency’s efforts to utilise technology to reduce hard-copy submissions and enhance the timely submission and management of internal audit reports across the public sector, while improving efficiency and accountability in the report review process.
