Dr. E.O Osae, Director-General and Management of the Internal Audit Agency held a virtual meeting on Monday, 31st July, 2023 with its stake holders to bring them to speed on the ongoing issues at the Agency and in the Internal Auditing space.
Dr. Osae gave an update on issues discussed at the previous meeting. Participants were given feedback on the IAA Bill, newly allocated office building, publication of defaulters list and required reports mandated to be submitted.
He addressed the implications of non-submission of reports and encouraged participants to ensure timely submission of reports. He also urged them to submit via email to prevent late submission.
Members of the Management team shared challenges identified in the various reports reviewed and took participants the right processes.
Dr. Osae shared on the ongoing Parliamentary Select Committee sitting and the expected outcome. He encouraged Audit Committee members to ensure proper scrutiny of reports before submission and commended the MDAs for the reductions in irregularities reported in the Auditor-General’s report.
