IAA FACILITATES VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON CCCC

The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) held a virtual sensitization workshop on the Commitment Control Compliance Checklist (CCCC) on 2nd July 2025. The Workshop took place in the Internal IAA Boardroom and was streamed live to participants nationwide, with a total of 108 attendees from various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

The workshop which was facilitated by Mr. Senanu K. Mensah, Ag. TRME and moderated by Mr. Qatada Nashiru, Head, ERM aimed at strengthening understanding and effective implementation of the Commitment Control Compliance Checklist (CCCC), in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Finance.

The Deputy Director-General responsible for Technical and Field Operations (TFO), Dr. Cynthia Ayorkor Sallah delivered the opening remarks on behalf of the Ag. Director-General, Mr. Thompson-Aryee. She welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of commitment control in promoting transparency, accountability, and fiscal discipline across the public sector.

Mr. Senanu led participants through a detailed presentation on the overview of the CCCC, highlighting its application to all MDAs. He introduced the framework, outlined key commitment control measures, and elaborated on the roles of:

  • Principal Spending Officers
  • Heads of Internal Audit Units
  • The Internal Audit Agency
  • The PFM Compliance and Enforcement Committee (PF-CEC)
  • The PFM Compliance Desk (PF-CD)

He also discussed the enforcement mechanisms and sanctions for non-compliance, including applicable penalties.

Participants were further taken through the CCCC review procedures and guided on how to complete the CCCC reporting template.

In her closing remarks, the Deputy Director-General (TFO) urged participants to apply the knowledge gained and ensure the timely and accurate submission of CCCC reports in the prescribed format.
