The Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency, Mr. Thomas A. Thompson-Aryee on 2nd September 2025, paid a courtesy call on the Head of Civil Service, Dr. Evans Aggrey-Darkoh to deliberate on internal audit practices within public sector Covered Entities.
The primary objective of the visit was to strengthen the internal audit function in the MDAs. Discussions centered on addressing critical issues related to internal control systems and compliance. During deliberations, emphasis was placed on the need to enhance transparency, accountability, and trust as essential factors for improving the effectiveness of the internal audit practice.
The Deputy Director-General responsible for Finance, Administration and Support Services (FASS), Mr. Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey and the Personal Assistant to the Ag. Director-General, Ms. Susan Asiedu attended the meeting.
