The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Directorate of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) held a training programme for Internal Audit Staff of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in Risk-Based Internal Auditing (RBIA). The training forms part of the Agency’s support to covered entities on internal controls.
The four-day training programme was held at the Authority’s Conference Room from 8th – 11th September 2025.
The purpose of the training was to equip the Authority’s Internal Audit Staff with the requisite skills and competencies to effectively provide risk-based internal audit coverage for the financial and operational activities of the Authority. The training also provided staff of the Internal Audit Function with techniques needed to optimize audit resources by focusing their attention on areas that pose serious risks to the achievement of the Authority’s mandate.
