The Audit Committee of the Krowor Municipal Assembly was inaugurated by the Ag. Director-General, Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee on 2nd September 2025. The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye was the Chairperson of the event, who, in his opening remarks, emphasized accountability standards as foundational pillars of the Assembly, guiding decision-making, fostering transparency, and building stakeholder trust.
The Ag. Director-General mentioned that the Audit Committee is a vital instrument of governance within public institutions that ensures transparency and accountability through the regular review of internal and external audit reports.
The Ag. Director-General outlined the statutory roles of the Committee and informed the meeting that follow up exercises are underway and would be rolled out on a quarterly basis to monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.
