IAA PARTICIPATES IN WORLD BANK WORKSHOP ON PFM

The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) represented at a two-day workshop on Public Financial Management (PFM), organized by the World Bank in collaboration with the Public Financial Management for Service Delivery (PFM4SD) Program. The event, held at the World Bank Office in Accra on September 17th-18th, brought together key stakeholders to strategize on strengthening Ghana’s PFM systems.

The IAA delegation consisted of Dr. Cynthia Sallah, Deputy Director-General, Technical and Field Operations, (TFO), Mr. Alhassan Fuseini, Projects Coordination and Monitoring Unit (PCMU) and Christian Barimah Adinkrah, Training, Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (TRME).

The workshop, themed “Reimagining Public Finance,” provided a collaborative platform for in-depth discussions on the future of PFM in Ghana. Technical experts contributed significantly to the sessions, which focused on:

  • Identifying and Defining PFM Issues
  • Strategic Prioritization
  • Envisioning Desired Results
  • The Role of Digitalization
