The Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee, swore in Mr. Senanu Mensah, Ag. Director in charge of Technical, Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation (TRME), and a representative of the IAA onto the Audit Committee of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) on 16th October, 2025. Mr. John Awuah, a Board member of the GETFund was also sworn in.
Mr. Agyemang concluded that with the expertise of members, he was optimistic that the Committee would work diligently for the good of GETFund and Mother Ghana.
Mr. Thompson-Aryee mentioned that the PFM Act has been amended to include Section 24 (a) which mandates Management of institutions to seek Commitment Approval for procurement transactions that are beyond the threshold of the Entity Tender Committee (ETC). He also urged the Committee to ensure the Internal Audit Function timely submits the Commitment Compliance Checklist Review Report (CCCRR) as required by the Ministry of Finance.
