The Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee inaugurated the Audit CÂ Â Â Â Committee of the National Food Buffer Stock Company (NAFCO) on 24th October, 2025.
The CEO of NAFCO, Mr. George Abradu-Otoo remarked that the event marks the first time the Company has had the Committee instituted in the 15 years of its existence. He was optimistic that financial irregularities and audit infractions would be a thing of the past. The Board Chairman of the Company, Hon. Dr. Eric Osei-Owusu was in attendance.
Mr. Thompson-Aryee outlined the roles of the Audit Committee and informed members of amendments to the PFM Act 2016, (Act 921) and the PPA Act. He urged them to familiarize themselves with these reforms to aid in their work.
