On 20th October 2025, the Deputy Director in charge of the Office of the Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. Hayford D. Hammond, virtually inaugurated the Audit Committee of the Dambai College of Education on behalf of the Ag. Director-General, Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee. The event formed part of the Agency’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, accountability, and internal control systems across public institutions.
In her remarks, the Principal of the College, Dr. (Mrs.) Benedicta Awusi Atiku, expressed appreciation to the IAA for its continuous support and commitment to promoting transparency and sound financial management.
Mr. Robbin Abgekwadji, representing the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG), was elected Chairman of the Committee. He assured management of the Committee’s readiness to add value and support the College in achieving its objectives.
In his address, Mr. Hammond underscored the crucial role of Audit Committees in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and enhancing institutional performance. He encouraged the new members to work diligently in upholding integrity, accountability, and efficiency in the discharge of their oversight responsibilities.
