On 16 December 2025, the Deputy Director-General (FASS) of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey, officially swore in the Audit Committee of the National Communications Authority (NCA).
Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko, Ag. Director-General of NCA, in his opening remarks, applauded the outgoing Audit Committee and expressed optimism that the incoming Committee would build on their good work. He assured the meeting that Management of the Authority would remain committed to full compliance with all applicable laws. He concluded by describing the Audit Committee as a key partner in achieving the mandate of the NCA.
In his address, Mr. Aborbi-Ayitey provided an overview of the Audit Committee, outlining its authority, composition, and responsibilities.
He explained that the Committee is expected to ensure that Management of the Authority implements recommendations contained in mandatory internal audit reports, as well as those issued by Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
