Governance Gets a Boost: IAA Inaugurates Allied Health Profession Council’s Audit Committee

On Monday, 9th February 2026, Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. Thomas A. Thompson-Aryee, officially inaugurated the Audit Committee of the Allied Health Profession Council. This event underscores the Agency’s dedication to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance across Ghana’s health sector.

The newly formed Audit Committee will oversee the Council’s financial and operational activities, ensuring efficient and ethical management of resources. Addressing attendees, the Ag. Director-General, Mr. Thompson-Aryee, highlighted the critical role of internal controls and audit processes in building public trust and enhancing service delivery in the health profession.
