Eleven (11) teams from the Internal Audit Agency are in the final week of a three-week nationwide monitoring exercise aimed at strengthening accountability and improving internal audit practices across public institutions.
The exercise, which began in mid-April 2026, involves the teams assessing internal control systems, reviewing compliance with audit standards, and evaluating risk management processes. Throughout the assignment, the teams have engaged various public sector entities, identified gaps, and provided guidance to enhance operational efficiency and adherence to regulations.
As the exercise reaches its final week, the focus is on consolidating findings, ensuring implementation of recommendations, and reinforcing transparency and good governance within the public sector.
