The Internal Audit Agency’s (IAA) technical team successfully completed the review of the Quality Assurance and Improvement Programme (QAIP) Manual on 14th May 2026 under the guidance of the Ag. Director-General, Mr. Thomas A. Thompson-Aryee. The exercise brought together key officers and technical personnel of the Agency to critically assess and refine the Manual to ensure its relevance to current operational and professional standards.
The review process focused on strengthening the Agency’s quality assurance framework through detailed discussions on existing procedures, reporting structures, and monitoring mechanisms. Members identified gaps and proposed revisions aimed at improving the effectiveness, consistency, and practical implementation of the Manual. The Consultant for the EU Project, Mr. Nathan Yankey, facilitated discussions throughout the review process.
At the close of the meeting, the technical team agreed on key recommendations and revisions to be incorporated into the final document. Members reaffirmed their commitment to promoting accountability, efficiency, and continuous organizational improvement through an effective QAIP framework. The team further pledged to finalize the revised Manual within the agreed timelines for onward consideration and approval.
