The Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) swore in two new members of the Audit Committee of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on 10th June 2026. The ceremony was attended by the Board Chairman, the Director-General, and other senior management staff of the Commission.
Dr. Abubakar Millah was elected as the Chairman of the Committee who in his acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude for the appointment, accepted the responsibility, and called upon his fellow members to contribute their best efforts to the committee’s mandate.
Mr. Thomas Thompson-Aryee, Director General of the Internal Audit Agency addressed the members, encouraging them to perform their duties with excellence and pledging his full support for their work.
Dr. James Klutse Avedzi, Director-General of SEC echoed this sentiment, confirming that the Commission stands ready to support the Audit Committee and expressing his hope for a highly productive tenure.
