Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee, Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) swore in the Audit Committee of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) in the institution’s Board Room on 21st August 2021. Mr. Kwesi Afreh Biney, Ag. Director-General of SSNIT, was in attendance.
Mr. Kofi Dartey, a representative of IAA, is the Chairperson of the Audit Committee. In his acceptance speech, he thanked members of the Audit Committee for electing him to oversee their efforts. He requested Management to support the committee in delivering on its mandate.
Mr. Thompson-Aryee in his speech mentioned that the insertion of Schedule 1 of the amended PFM Act has the Oaths of Office and Secrecy and as such implored members of the Committee to take the oaths seriously. He wished members of the Committee well and tasked them to perform their statutory functions in line with the PFM Act.
