On 28th October, 2025, Mr. Thomas A. Thompson-Aryee, Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), inaugurated the Audit Committee of the Scholarship Secretariat (Scholsec).
The Registrar of the Secretariat, Mr. Alex Kwaku Asafo-Adjei, in his remarks, emphasised the importance of the Audit Committee in ensuring effective risk and financial management practices. He added that strengthening internal controls would ensure the realisation of the President’s vision.
Mr. Thompson-Aryee, in his speech, mentioned the amendment of the PFM Act 2016 (Act 921) with the insertion of Schedule 1 relating to the Oaths of Office and Secrecy. He informed the meeting of the introduction of the Commitment Compliance Control Checklist (CCCC) by the Ministry of Finance. He implored members to acquaint themselves with the reforms and ensure adherence.
