The Audit Committee of the Encyclopaedia Africana Project (EAP) was inaugurated by the Ag. Director-General of the Internal Audit Agency (IAA), Mr. T.A. Thompson-Aryee, on 25th November, 2025.
The Director of EAP, Mr. Christian Dovi, speaking on behalf of the Chairperson of the Pan African Standing Committee, Emeritus Prof. Ivan Addai-Mensah, encouraged the Committee to ensure the prudent use of the Project’s financial resources. He added that members should make their tenure a demonstration that meaningful progress can be achieved even within financial limitations.
Mr. Thompson-Aryee noted that the functions of the Audit Committee are defined in the PFM Act and the Guidelines for the Effective Functioning of Audit Committees, and he therefore encouraged members to familiarize themselves with the provisions in both documents.
