The Internal Audit Agency (IAA) on Wednesday, 7th October 2026, held a virtual stakeholder meeting bringing together officials from covered entities to strengthen compliance, reporting and public sector accountability. The meeting, chaired by the Deputy Director-General, Finance and Administration Support Services (FASS), Mr. Bismark Aborbi-Ayitey, was attended by Audit Committee Chairpersons, members and secretaries, Directors, and Heads of Internal Audit Units.

The Agency emphasised the need for the timely submission of outstanding 2025 Audit Committee reports, particularly ahead of parliamentary reviews. Stakeholders were also reminded that the reports must receive the required endorsement from sector ministers before submission.
Participants were further reminded that Commitment Control Compliance (CCC) checklists are mandatory for the Ministry of Finance’s consolidation process. Audit Committees were urged to thoroughly review the checklists, while internal auditors were cautioned to ensure that audit recommendations marked as fully implemented are supported by verifiable evidence.

The meeting also highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen digital reporting, including the development of an automated reporting application to facilitate submissions. The IAA further announced plans for regional stakeholder engagements and encouraged continued collaboration to strengthen public sector assurance and compliance.
