The Public Financial Management Compliance Division (PFM-CD) of the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) is organising Sensitisation Workshops on PFM compliance requirements for selected officers across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). The Workshop which commenced on 26th August and ends on 29th August, 2025 was attended by Heads of Covered Entities, Budget, Finance and Procurement officers.
A similar Workshop will be held for Heads of the Internal Audit Function of selected MDAs from 2nd – 3rd September, 2025.
The Workshop is aimed at enhancing stakeholder awareness and understanding of the Public Financial Management (Amendment) Act, 2025 (Act 1139), and others. These laws introduce robust compliance enforcement mechanisms aimed at promoting fiscal discipline and accountability in public financial management.
