Mr. Conrad Z. Dumbah, Ag. Director-General of IAA delivered a goodwill message on behalf of the Agency at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Ghana’s 25th anniversary conference held at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) Auditorium on 15th October 2026. The Deputy Minister for Finance, Hon. Thomas Nyarko Ampem, was the Special Guest of Honour at the event.
In his message, Mr. Dumbah called on public institutions to address the root causes of recurring audit issues and implement measures to prevent their recurrence. He noted that identifying the underlying causes of audit findings was important to strengthening internal controls and improving accountability.
He also reaffirmed the IAA’s role as a partner in advancing the internal audit profession, highlighting the importance of collaboration in strengthening internal auditing in Ghana.
The Conference, themed “Our Legacy, Impact & Future,” formed part of the Institute’s 25th anniversary celebrations, which seek to reflect on its achievements and chart the future of the internal audit profession in Ghana.
