NATIONWIDE AUDIT COMMITTEE TRAINING MAKES A FINAL STOP

A Nationwide training for Audit Committee members by IAA/GIZ which commenced on 20^th March, 2023 ended on 28^th April, 2023 in Accra. A two-day training programme was held for MMDCEs, Audit Committee members, secretaries of Audit Committee from 25^th – 26^th April 2023 at the Mensvic Hotel. A similar training programme was organized for staff of the Agency from 27^th-28^th April, 2023 at the Hill View Guest Centre at Abokobi. Modules thought were:

1. Understanding the Local Governance System.
2. The Audit Committee System under the PFM Act.
3. Conduct of Audit Committee Meetings.
4. Strengthening Internal Controls at Covered Entities.
5. Contemporary Issues in the Public Sector Internal Audit Practice.
